Montana 2012 Part 1

We made it to Montana for the summer again.  We LOVE that we get to come and spend our summers out of the Phoenix heat and in the beautiful Big Sky of Montana with good friends and family.

We arrived Memorial Day weekend.  Again, very bittersweet.  It seems appropriate that the past 2 Memorial Days have been overcast and cool.

Our next weekend we headed to Ennis to play some golf.
Jackson got to play with the big boys.

Montana golfing at it's finest.
In the very foreground you can see my Anti-breast cancer ball.  In the middle you can see the antelope and in the distance you can see the pin.

Jackson got some tips from the best golfer on the course.

Good looking crew - and some sunshine in the background!

Last weekend we went camping.  Dad and the boys did some shooting.
Here is Phase I of ear protection.

Here is Phase II

Fun camping trip!

There is more to come, but as is typical in my postings - don't hold your breath!!

Easter Pageant 2012

We love it when we get to see our own Kathy Jo in the Easter Pageant. Especially when Great Gramma and Grampa Brown are in town!

Jackson didn't quite make it to the end. Grampa Brown didn't seem to mind.

PLAY (tee) BALL!

There has been a lot of hub-bub about the amazing Scrapper and Pinkerbell tee ball teams. You can imagine how great these teams are with Jackson and Joss on the teams. So far, both teams are undefeated!

Seriously - can there be a cuter Scrapper??

Joss and her buddy Madilyn

Most of the pinkerbells - just before they ran out on the field on opening day!

Springtime update

Arizona is one of the smart states that doesn't do daylight savings time. I figured it would be good to use the hour I didn't lose to update the blog (after I was gently reminded by my friend that I needed to update it since I put it on my St. Patrick's Day card!)

Joss celebrated her 100th day of school by wearing 100 stickers!

My baby turned 6 last month. Here's a quick shot of her princess birthday party!

Happy Valentine's Day! The best way to celebrate is heart shaped pizza! I do love pizza~

We try to get a zoo pass most years. It's some of the best money we can spend. We can bring friends and the Phoenix Zoo has to be one of the best in the country. We LOVE the zoo. Jackson recently told me that his favorite word is "zoo", because he loves going to the zoo! Here are some zoo pics from the last month or so:

Here are the kids with their new friend, Madilyn. Notice Olive finds the most dangerous place to pose (and I still take the picture).

Brandon and Jessie joined us one day - this was Jessie's first trip to the zoo! We couldn't believe it!

One of our favorite exhibits is the monkey house where there are no cages. We're always a little surprised they don't make us leave Olive.

The peacocks walk around the zoo - this one had it's beautiful tail up, but I couldn't get the picture fast enough. Olive is doing her best to duplicate it!

Just yesterday we went with the Kramarczyks.

Last weekend we were able to go to Kathy's friend, David's baptism:

After the above picture, the below picture happened. We can't wait for Uncle Brandon to be a daddy - he'll be awesome~

Remember us?

It's been awhile since I've updated the ol' blog. I was thinking I wanted to fill in all the blanks since the last post, but I'm just going to have to start somewhere, so I'm starting with now. Here is the Christmas post from the O'Leary family:

Here is the Sunday before we left for Montana - Ahh - we love our new home!

Esme's birthday is right before Christmas, so we got to have an ESMAZING birthday party. We were able to hire these clever characters for the event, at a pretty good price.

Caroline knows how to make everything cute and we made these cute Ham cake pops (there was no ham in them - just the character)-

Esme's birthday wouldn't be complete without a tribute to her Mom.

Who thought of the mustache contest!? This time of the year is supposed to be joyful - not scary!

Thanks to Christmas break, we were able to spend some quality time with the O'Learys.

There was just enough snow one day to pull the kids around the yard in the tube. We couldn't get Olive out! She loved it!

We love our Montana Christmases, although they are crazy busy! Shawn was relieved to go back to law school where things are calm again :\
Arizona welcomed us back with nice warm weather.
We look forward to 2012! Happy New Year!
